Plant Anatomy is the study of internal structure of the plants and it is also called phytotomy. Recent techniques are useful in investigating the cellular levels and also involved in the sectioning of tissues and microscopy.
Plant anatomy provides information on shape, structure and size of plants. As a part of botany, it focuses on the structural parts and systems that build up a plant. Plant body consists of three major vegetative organs which are the root, the stem, and the leaf, as well as reproductive parts that include flowers, fruits, and seeds.
Plant Morphology is the study of physical form and external structure of plants and it is also called Phytomorphology. It is different from plant anatomy, which shows study on internal organs at microscopic levels.
Plant Morphology is useful in visual identification of plants, where can identify vegetative structure of plants and reproductive structure, identify by spines, leaves, appearance of a plant, plant growth habit and by the pattern of branch.
