Horticulture is the science includes sustainable production, art of the development, ornamental plants, use intensively cultivated food and marketing. Horticultural crops are in more varieties; they include annual species and perennial species, delicious fruits and healthy vegetables, decorative indoor and landscape plants.

Horticulture specialty crops helps in sustain and enrich our lives by providing nutritious food, enhancing the beauty of our homes and communities and reducing our carbon footprint.

Floriculture can also be called flower farming which is a discipline of horticulture concerned with the cultivation of flowering and for floristry and ornamental plants for gardens, comprising the floral industry. The major occupation of the floriculturists is to develop new varities through plant breeding technique.

Floriculture crops include houseplants, bedding plants, pot plants and flowering garden, cultivated greens, and cut flowers. Floriculture crops are generally herbaceous and where it is different from nursery crops.
