Title : Novochizol as a promising biological plant protection product
Abstract:
The use of biopesticides to protect agricultural crops from pathogens and increase their productivity is a promising area. Chitosan and its derivatives, in particular, Novochizol, occupy a special place among the above-mentioned protective agents. It was obtained by converting linear chitosan molecules into globules with increased stability, solubility, adhesion to plant tissues, the ability to absorb other active substances and enhance their effect. The positive effect of Novochizol on the growth and productive properties of plants was previously demonstrated. This report summarizes our data on the protection mechanisms induced by Novochizol in common wheat T. aestivum L. against a harmful fungal pathogen, stem rust (P. graminis f. sp. tritici). This research was funded by the Russian Science Foundation Project No. 23-16-00119.
