Biography:
Yaman Jabbour holds a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering and both Master's and Ph.D. degrees in Plant Breeding from Aleppo University. He is currently a researcher at the General Commission for Scientific Agricultural Research (GCSAR). Since earning his Ph.D. in 2022, he has focused his research on developing improved durum wheat genotypes to produce new high-yielding and stable varieties capable of addressing the challenges posed by climate change. In this context, he established a speed breeding facility in Aleppo, Syria, and leads a research team dedicated to accelerating the development of durum wheat varieties adapted to local and future environmental conditions.
