Biography:
Shukai Fan, a graduate from China Agricultural University, earned her Professional Master’s Degree in Agronomy and Seed Industry with a focus on Synthetic Biology, under the supervision of Prof. Jinsheng Lai and Co-Supervisor Prof. Durval Dourado Neto. Her research focuses primarily on molecular genomics, C4 photosynthetic mechanisms, and targeted transcriptional regulation in crops. During her master’s degree, she integrated single-cell transcriptomics, bioinformatic predictive modeling, and functional reporter assays to identify novel bundle sheath cell-specific promoters in maize (Zea mays L.). Her work provides robust promoter tools and theoretical frameworks for C4 photosynthesis engineering and photosynthetic efficiency enhancement in cereal crops.
