Biography:
Pushpa Man Amatya was born on 11th March 1945 and he completed M.sc from Tribhuwan University 1972. He joined Department of medicinal plants for 16 years, after teaching in different colleges and schools of Nepal from 1963 onwards and Specialized in Japanese Cherry blossoms from JICA, Tokyo 1978-1979. He Introduced Bonsai and cut flowers in Nepal 1980 and Santalum album in Nepal from Srilanka in 1984. He Worked in developing landscaping and gardening, Bioengineering 1986 onwards and established private college as Kantipur Valley College -2001. He Published books- flowering Cherries of Japan-1979 from JICA , Flowering cherries of Japan and Nepal- 2007, and My remembrance( A collection of about 20 articles published in Journals and other papers). Member of Royal Horticulture Society (RHS) in UK, Membership Number – 19774994. Royal tutor for late Prince Nirajan of Nepal in Eton college, Winsore UK ( 1998-1999)
