Biography:
Luisa María Bravo Herrera holds a degree in Industrial Microbiology and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Biological Sciences at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Colombia. She works as a research assistant in a project funded by Colombia's Sistema General de Regalías (SGR), that explores the potential of Piper species as sources of plan-derived products for the control of fungal pathogens causing disease in cultivated Passiflora species in Boyacá and Cundinamarca. Her research focuses on plant–pathogen interactions, particularly use of Piper-derived treatments to induce systemic resistance in purple passion fruit (Passiflora edulis f. edulis) against Fusarium-associated diseases.
