Biography:
Laura K. Rodríguez-Sánchez is a biologist and Ph.D. candidate in Science – Biology at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, where she also earned her M.Sc. in Biotechnology. Her research interests bridge plant anatomy, histochemistry, and phytochemistry, with a particular focus on specialized metabolites and their ecological and applied roles. Building on this integrative approach, her doctoral research focuses on evaluating the potential of Piper species from the Colombian Andes for the sustainable management of phytopathogenic fungi affecting commercial Passiflora crops. She has published scientific articles and presented her research at national and international conferences.
