Biography:
Ileana Barrera Montero is an undergraduate Chemistry student at Universidad Nacional de Colombia (73.8% completed) and an active member of the QUIPRONAB research group, where she began as a research seedbed participant, being currently an undergraduate investigator linked to the Sistema General de Regalías project, working with natural products from Chocó, Colombia. Her research focuses on evaluating antimicrobial and enzyme inhibitory activity through in vitro assays, as well as characterizing bioactive compounds using chromatography and NMR techniques.
