Biography:
Ernest Skowron, PhD, is an assistant professor in the department of environmental biology at Jan Kochanowski University of Kielce , Poland. His research focuses on the physiological and molecular mechanisms that regulate photosynthesis, leaf senescence, and stress acclimation in crop plants. Through integrative physiological, biochemical, and molecular approaches, he investigates cytokinin signalling, stay-green traits, oxidative stress, and plant responses to environmental factors. His work seeks to connect fundamental plant biology with crop improvement strategies, contributing to the development of climate-resilient crops with enhanced productivity, nutritional quality, and yield stability.
